What’s to Come 2025

Here comes 2025.

As someone who profoundly values personal growth and healing, it’s no surprise that I've chosen to work in the field of behavioral health. I consistently have the opportunity to learn from my patients, support their transformations, and deeply resonate with the essence of the human experience. Throughout my career, I have pursued my passion, often guided by the clients and families I serve who confront injustices or social issues that challenge both logic and healthcare science. Naturally, I tend to be quite logical and philosophically align with stoicism, so it can be bewildering when justice systems or child protective services take actions that contradict the principles of behavioral change and learning.

For many clinicians in this field, the primary focus is on the effects of emotional distress and how to navigate the relationships or situations that trigger it. While it’s vital to understand dynamics and context, this is merely a fragment of the overall narrative contributing to their suffering. There are numerous alternatives rooted in value-based living and behavioral actions that can significantly alter the future development and nurturing of individuals and entire family lineages.

As we approach 2025, I encourage everyone to ask themselves, “What matters to me about…” and fill in the blank with any situation or curiosity you’re grappling with. Focus on your core values and take a small step toward embodying these in your daily life. By reframing our thoughts and considering behavioral adjustments, we can collectively move toward a more aligned way of living.
